Embroidery Product Set Up Amendments

The following steps refer to getting your Embroidery on Demand & Personalised products ready for a more streamlined process. To do so, the product typing has to be updated.

These steps are needed so the embroidery lines will pass through correctly for fulfilment without having an impact on the Next front-end user experience.

Product Type

When you open the product you will see the following view, the product will have pre-sets but the following changes need to be made.

Product Type should be No Preview, with the Stock toggle button enabled.

Fulfiller SKU needs to be updated.

Finally, you need to hitSaveand Product Type should now show “No Preview & Stock”.

Product Assets

Once the above steps have been followed, users need to begin adding their product asset. This will be called an “Asset” and the Asset acts as the image visible on the thumbnail which will preview the product style and colour (+Pers element if required) in the KornitX Platform. For more information on Assets please click the following link – Link 1

Further support on how to add a product asset has been outlined below via screenshots.

Firstly, users need to navigate to “General” & click on the “Assets” tab. Once on the “Assets” tab, the user will be presented with the below, where they can then click on the “+” icon on the ‘Product Image’ box (shown below) and add a design image to the chosen product.
Upload your jpg image. Once successfully uploaded, your user will be presented with the below message
This will now show a product image thumbnail against the product in the KornitX Platform.
NOTE: This does not impact the front-end live preview on the Next Website.

Aspect Imagery

Once Assets have been added, users can now add their product imagery. This product image will be called an “Aspect” and the aspect acts as the image visible on the thumbnail which will preview the product style and colour. For more information on Aspects and mastering the quality of preview image please click the following 2 links – Link 1 and Link 2.

Please note that this imagery is separate from the product images that will have been provided to Next via their PIF sheet.

The steps to add imagery are detailed below:

First, users need to load into the “Preview” menu as shown below.
Upon loading this menu users will see there is an Aspect already created called “Dummy” which you will amend and add images to. To edit simply click the “Edit” icon shown here.
Update the Aspect name to ‘Front’ with an aspect image of the garment in the correct colour.
Upload your Aspect image of the garment in the correct colour to the “Main Image” option by clicking the “Upload” button.
Once your image has been uploaded users may need to amend the “Dummy” name on the preview to match the product, for example a front embroided Image product may be labelled as “Front Image”.

Finally, you can click “Save” and move onto the next part of the creation.

Once the Aspect Imagery has been added users can head onto the next part which is amending the print area. The steps to amend your Print Area will be detailed below.

First, users need to load into the “Print” menu as shown below.
Once loaded, users will see a “Dummy” print area which is already made when the products are added to Onboarding. To amend you need to click the “edit” button as shown.
Update the Print Area Name to ‘Front’ and connect to the aspect as shown below.
Now navigate to the Artwork Tab & upload the embroidery file & change the “Type” to “Verbatim” with the “Fit Mode” set to “Actual.

Now the embroidery artwork has been successfully added, your user will now upload a second piece of Artwork to the same Print Area. A TrueView png for the thumbnail.

The user will apply the “Type” to “Verbatim” & “Fit Mode” to “Actual” to the upload “TrueViewpng thumbnail.

Once the respective Artwork(s) have been assigned to the Print Area, it should now display like the below snapshot:
Once the above has been completed, the user can click “Save”.

Text Areas (Personalised Products ONLY)

The final product element to add to your Personalised Products (ONLY), is the personalised Text Area to capture the customer's name on the order.

Your User will now navigate to the “Functionality” Tab > “Text” Area:
The user will now amend the Display Name to read “Name”, this will allow the fulfilment team to locate the personalisation element easily on the order.

Once the above has been completed, the user will now check that the correct “Print Area” is allocated, in this instance, it should be the “Front Display” Print Area:
As per Next requirements, a Max Character limit may be set to restrict the input of letters. This can be set by navigating to “Validation” > “Max. Characters
Finally, you can click “Save” & your product should be ready for embroidery fulfilment
