Attributes

This section of the platform is for configuring Attribute options against your Product.

What is an Attribute?

An Attribute is a functionality setting used to define additional options / information on a Product. They have no impact on the live preview, but allow information to be captured / passed when the order is placed.

The most common use cases for Attributes are:
  1. To offer a size selection, eg S/M/L on clothing Products
  2. To offer gift wrapping service on gifting Products

What Attribute options are available?

Each Attribute can be configured based on multiple option combinations to suit a range of requirements.
  1. Enabled: Determines if the Attribute is active or not
  2. Group: Used to group several Attribute Values together under a single group name, e.g. 'Size'
  3. Value: The specific information/option available for selection, e.g. S, M, L etc...
  4. SKU: The identifier of the Attribute option
  5. Spec: Input field for specification information
  6. Description: Input field for additional details
  7. Separate Order Line: Changes inbound order behaviour for the Attribute
  8. Internal: Determines whether the Attribute is visible in the Smartlink and can be interacted with, or not.
  9. Group Default: Sets the Attribute as the default option in the Smartlink.

How to Add Attributes

There are two options for adding Attributes to Products;
  1. Manual: Add one at a time to a single Product using the '+ Attributes' button
  1. Import: Add multiple Attributes to multiple selected Products via Product Manager
The Attribute Export can be used to extract a data template from the platform, with relevant column headers for the selected Products.

To review added Attributes, access Print Test via the Printer button, and use the 'Attributes' menu to see / select your Attributes

How to Edit Attributes

By default, any configured Attributes are shown in a list. Each row represents a separate Attribute, and features some top level settings which can be edited inline using the text/input fields.
Click the arrow to open the Attribute settings:

The main rows are nested, which means they expand to reveal all associated rollout menus and configuration settings where changes can be made.

Alternatively, Attributes can be updated in bulk using the Attribute Import in Product Manager, for one or multiple selected Products.
