Imports: Personalisation Areas
Imports: Personalisation Areas
The Personalisation Areas Import provides a convenient way for Fulfillers to upload Personalisation Areas setup information to products based on Image and Text Areas.
The required import format is CSV.
What is the Personalisation Areas Import used for?
The import is used to create Personalisation Areas or to edit existing ones.
This import was built in order for fulfillers to have a quicker way to mass amend data associated to the personalisation areas.
Create: Add new Personalisation Areas to Products in bulk.
To create new Personalisation Areas, the relevant Products should first be 'selected' or filtered in Product Manager prior to generating a Personalisation Areas Export.
The generated CSV file serves as a template, allowing the Product data to be added in a format that is then suitable for use with the Personalisation Areas Import to update the Products.
It is recommended that Imports are tested on a sample range prior to rollout across a high volume of Products.
The following is a list of areas users can update to products via this import, these are listed below
Area names (The image or text area names) - “area.name”
Area type (Whether or not its an “image” or “text” type) - “area.type”
Area Internal names (set an internal name against an image or text area) - “area.internal_name”
Area X and Y positions (set where the area will be stored within a product) - “area.x” and “area.y”
Text Area Input pattern (This is input rule) - “text_area.input_pattern_regex”
Image area width and height (control size of the image area in mm) - “image_area.width” and “image_area.height”
With the import this means a user can create simply image or text
The import is only useful for basic Personalisation Areas, limited by functionality.

Edit: Amend existing Personalisation Areas.
This import is useful if a fulfiller needs to amend X & Y positions and Image Area Width & Height on mass. To edit Attributes, the relevant Products should be 'selected' or filtered in Product Manager prior to generating an Attribute Export.
The generated CSV file serves as a template, allowing the Product data to be edited in a format that is then suitable for use with the Attribute Import to update the Products.
A Regex code for Input Rules within Text Areas can also be set so if a selection of 100 products needs an Input Rule added this import can be used to amend these products on mass.
