Imports: Pricing Tier Groups

The Pricing Tier Groups Import provides a convenient way for Fulfillers to upload Pricing setup information to the Platform.

The required import format for this import is CSV
Please note that the import is the same regardless of which of the 3 tier price exports used.

What is the Pricing Tier Groups Import used for?

The import is used by Fulfillers to create new pricing or to update existing pricing data. Fulfillers can use the import to set any type of pricing against multiple retailers, currencies, product elements, buyers and sellers.
This is the most advanced Pricing Import in the system.
There are multiple Pricing types that can be shown with this import, these fields need to be set within the "tier_group.price_type" column header.

What data can be set with the Pricing Tier Groups Import?

The csv file can be set up to create pricing. All of the following fields can be used within the import.
To easily get these headers on a CSV file we advice running a Pricing Tier Groups export of manually set pricing.
  1. Product ID - "product.id" needs to be the product ID of which pricing is required.
  2. Tier group ID - tier_group.id" must be left blank for new pricing, if updating existing pricing users must leave the associated ID.
  3. Tier Group Product ID - tier_group.product_id" needs to match the Product ID field.
  4. Price Type - "tier_group.price_type" must be between the 5 pricing options of Cost, Trade, RRP, Retail or Carriage.
  5. Element Type - "tier_group.element_type" is between the multiple element types such as base, image, text, stitch count etc.
  6. Seller Company Ref ID - "tier_group.seller_company_ref_id" is the numerical company value associated to the fulfiller.
  7. Buyer Company Ref ID - "tier_group.buyer_company_ref_id" is the numerical company value associated to the retailer.
  8. Currency - "tier_group.currency" needs to be the correct currency value, based on the 3-digit currency codes such as GBP for British Pounds, USD for US Dollars etc.
  9. Quantity - "tier_price.quantity" is the quantity value of pricing to be set, numerical values must be used here.
  10. Price - "tier_price.price" is the final field to complete and this is the exact pricing required.
The import is advanced in the sense users can set "element" pricing on a range of different product elements such as the following listed. Each element has a liked numerical value for users to use when running an import.
  1. Base Product - This is the default pricing type and includes the entire products, this value can be set using the "0" value.
  2. Text Area - This can set additional pricing for the use of text areas, to do so the value of "3" needs to be used.
  3. Image Area - This can set additional pricing for the use of image areas, to do so the value of "4" needs to be used.
  4. Stitch Count - This value only applies to embroidery products but this pricing can be set as an additional cost for stitching. The value of "6" needs to be used.
We advise users familiarise themselves with the "elements" of their products before using this import. Setting pricing manually on one item may help as users can copy the export and run an import for different product IDs.

What data can be amended with the Pricing Tier Groups Import?

The csv file can be used to amend pricing elements on mass. These include the following use cases.
  1. To mass change the pricing for Cost, Trade RRP, Retail and Carriage cost.
  2. Amend the buyer or seller company reference ID on mass.
  3. Change the currency type using the 3-digit country code values.
  4. Duplicating pricing for different regions on mass by copying the existing data.
  5. To delete pricing tiers on mass.
To delete pricing tiers, simply import with positive "1" values for the following fields - "tier_group_delete" and "tier_price_delete".

CSV Import Format Requirements
If using Excel, the file must be saved as a .CSV.

If using OpenOffice or equivalent, save as .CSV and be sure to:
  1. Enable 'Edit the Filter Settings'
  2. Keep Current Format
  3. Change the character set to UNICODE (UTF-8)
  4. The saving delimeter needs to be ","
  5. Enable 'Quote all text cells'
The file can then be imported.
