RIP Integrations: ColorGATE

Introduction
This RIP Integrations allows Kornit X to utilise ColorGATE to RIP your artwork files in advance in the cloud and have the 1bit files ready for printing in our Floor module.

Integration Setup
The RIP integration is configured on a Production Centre company and points to a cloud based instance of ColorGATE set up by Kornit X.

When you create Job Template under a Production Centre with the ColorGATE RIP Integration enabled on it you will be able to configure the RIP settings applied when jobs on that template are processed. These settings are:-

- Queue Name
- MIM Media
- MIM Ink
- MIM Metamode

These items must be configured in advance and set up on the ColorGATE cloud instance through print testing to ensure quality and accuracy.

Jobs being processed through this integration will follow these initial status'

- Filling
- Pending Generation
- Pending RIP
- Sent to RIP
- Pending Production

On downloading a job that has been through this process the print station will download 8 1bit seperation files and a KSF instead of the unprocessed 8bit file.

Note - Initial setup of this integration must be done by Kornit X professional services as it requires a dedicated server instance of ColorGATE to be set and configured.
