Sales: Place Order

Place Order
This section of the platform is for users to be able to load all available products and place orders for these.

This can be used for testing products flowing into orders as well as a convenient way for users to place orders.

What is the functionality of Place Order?
Place Order functions as a way for retailers to place orders, some examples of reasons users use Place Order include the following.
  1. Place a test order
  2. Take telesales orders
  3. Process mail orders
  4. Place stock orders
  5. Add a one off special order
  6. Process samples
To Place Orders users can simply search for the available products using the product ID, product name, categories, fulfillers, type and classification.

How to place an order
In order to place an order, once the product has been found the user simply needs to press the "Place Order" button.
Users can place multiple orders at once, to do so simply select the products and a "Place Order" button will appear like the below.
Once clicked, the user will see the "Order" tab and here they can set the retailer company, contact, shipping and billing information.
When data has been filled in, the Items tab will appear and within this screen users will see the product they are planning to place an order for.
For stock products a user can simply click "Next" and the order will be placed. Once placed the system will give the user the order ID.
With configurable products, users can click the "Edit" button and the user will be taken to the product within the set Smartlink. Here users can customise the line by adding an image or customising text.
As well as this, if multiple items need to be sent, users can simply click the "Duplicate" button and the item will be duplicated within the order.
On top of duplication, users can amend the quantity so for any orders including samples, users can simply amend the number.
