Floor | Picking Station

The Picking station in the Floor module is where all of your production jobs are listed which have not yet been stock picked. The screen allows you to select one of more jobs to generate stock picking labels and print them so you can apply them to items and continue the workflow.

You can generate labels for both single and multiple jobs.

To generate labels for a single job, next to every row on the jobs list table when you hover on it there will be a button called "Print Picking Labels", click this button and the labels will be generated and can be printed.

Alternatively to generate labels for multiple jobs, You can also use the tick boxes to the left of the job rows to select multiple jobs to print at once, where one or more jobs is selected using this method a new "Print Picking Labels" buttons appears at the top of the table to generate these.

A useful option on the Kornit X Floor Station is the fullscreen mode. Where a single computer is going to be used only for that station it allows a cleaner view with now room for error or switching, it keeps focus on the stations intended purpose. Fullscreen mode can be toggled on and off using the icon in the top right of the station which looks like the below.

You may want to use auto print, If the computer you are using for the Picking Station will only ever print to one default printer then auto print functions in the Google Chrome browser can be a good time save. Traditionally a browser will open a print dialog where you can choose the printer, paper size, margins etc but you can tell Chrome to just automatically print on default settings saving you some clicks.

Floor | Print Station

The Print station in the Floor module is where production is triggered. A job item ID barcode can be scanned to bring up the items details. The page is split into 3 panels when a job item has been scanned

The Left Panel provides item details including quantity, size, colour, print area currently being produces, order number and SKU.

The Middle Panel shows a thumbnail of the product and if the item has multiple print areas it will show a list with a small view of each clearly showing which is being worked on.

Finally, the Right Panel is the signpost area for identifying actions

After an item has been scanned and loaded into the station it should be scanned again to confirm production can proceed where artwork will be downloaded or integrations will be triggered.

After one item has been scanned twice and produced the station is ready to scan the next barcode. If there was a production issue the platform also shows a "Re-Print" button which will re-trigger artwork downloads.

Floor | QC Station

QC stands for Quality Control and this station is optional in most Kornit X Floor Workflows it appears in.

This station allows for finished items / print areas to be reviewed against order information and thumbnail images to ensure quality and accuracy. Items can either pass or fail this station, passed items move onto the next stage and failed items are rebatched to be produced again.

This station accepts Job Item Barcodes with the prefix " ", it can also work in short run mode by scanning the Item ID with the prefix "01".

Selecting Fail for an item allows you to select a reason for reporting or a reason can be typed.

Passing an item in this station will signpost to the next workflow station which could be branding or shipping depending on the product settings.

This station is critical in Kornit X Floor workflows which print multiple times on the same item as it is here where this is signposted, items cycle though print and QC per printable area until all printing is completed at which point it is allowed to move to the next station.

Floor | Branding Station

The Branding station in the Floor module is an optional station in some workflows used where additional embelishment is added to items during the production process. For garments this could be hangtags or neck labels for example.

The Branding station always follows the QC station and if required will be signposted when an item is QC passed. This station sits between QC and Dispatch/Packing.

Once all print areas on a job have been produced and QC Passed the job item id barcode can be scanned into the Branding station where any applicable branding attribute sets will be shown. The image below shows a portion of the screen which will display when an item with branding is scanned. The green section will show how many branding elements this product has. Each branding element will have its own box with a name and box location where applicable and each one should be ticked as applied using the boxes shown on the below image in red.

Once all branding has been ticked you can proceed to dispatch

Floor | Shipping Station

Within Floor there is an optional purpose built station to manage the Shipping of your orders called the Shipping Station. This station allows for scanning barcodes to produce Shipping paperwork or provide a bin number for an incomplete multi line orders.

Within this screen you can either begin scanning your items ready for shipping or entering in the allocated barcode to run shipping on the individual items one at a time.

This station accepts Job Item Barcodes with the prefix " ", it can also work in short run mode by scanning the Item ID with the prefix "01". Please note that only orders set to "In Production" will work here. Once scanned the platform will display the following which is telling us where the Order needs to be added to for shipping to be successful.

Once you scan the barcode that we need to pick items from the associated bin. Once we pick these items and scan again the system tells us to "Store Item in" the bin.

Alternatively the Shipping Station will display Shipping Documents that need to be printed and included within the item package.
