Print Sizes

This section of the platform is for configuring additional size options against a Blank Product.

What are Print Sizes?

Print Sizes is print feature that allows Fulfillers to re-scale system generated output files to accomodate a range of different product sizes, within a single Blank Product.

The configured size options appear in the Smartlink, allowing the end user to choose the size option that they require.
The Print Size option can be set to any size, but the Aspect Ratio currently has to match the Print Area on the Product.

The most common product types that use Print Sizes are:
  1. Greetings Cards / Posters / Canvasses: To scale from A0, A1, A2, A3, A4 etc
  2. Home Decor eg Cushions: To scale from large to smaller options
  3. Clothing: In some instances, specific sized output files may be needed for different garment size ranges eg XXS vs 5XL.

How to Add a Print Size

By default, newly configured Blank Products do not feature any Print Sizes.
Any newly defined Print Sizes will affect all Print Areas automatically.

New sizes can be added using the '+ Print Size' button
This adds a new Print Size row that can be configured:
  1. Name: Add a size name that is relevant based on the product type eg Large / 12 / A4 etc...
  1. SKU: The SKU associated with the size option.
  1. Multiplier: The multiplication value used to scale the base Print Area.

Each Print Size row is nested, so can be expanded to show additional information for each affected Print Area:
  1. Print Area: Name of the Print Area.
  1. Print Size: Displays the original sizes (w x h) of the associated Print Area in mm.
  1. Target Size: Shows the output size post scaling. Can be used as an alternative input to Multiplier value, to set a desired width / height in mm.

Click Save to confirm the Print Size settings.

To review configured Print Sizes, access Print Test via the Printer button and select an option from the 'Sizes' menu.

Use the 'Generate Artwork' button to generate example output file at the selected size.
Tip: By default, the output file will be blank, but sized accordingly. You can add temporary Artwork files against each Print Area, to generate output files featuring an image.

Managing Print Sizes

Actions: There are 2 clickable Actions for each listed Print Size;
  1. Duplicate: Makes a copy of the Print Size, carrying over configured settings
  2. Delete: Removes the size option and all settings from the Product
SelectionServes as a mechanism to perform bulk Duplicate or Delete actions. Rows can be 'selected' using the individual selection boxes, or alternatively, Select All will auto-select all listed rows.

Using Print Test

It is recommended as best practice, that any newly added or amended print configuration is tested using Print Test. This provides immediate feedback based on the configured settings so that changes can be made as necessary.
