This document outlines the Artwork Generation Process and its requirements.

Artwork Generation Process

Artwork File Format

LGM should provide artwork in the following format:
  1. File Format: PNG

    1. Resolution: 300 dpi

      1. Color Mode: RGB

      2. File Size: < 100MB

  2. Transparent

Preferred ICC/Color Spaces

CMYK print-safe colors; web-safe/RGB-only colors will be converted to CMYK.

RGB:

  • sRGB IEC61966-2.1

CMYK:

  • U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) V2

  •  ISOcoated_V2

Minimum Line Weight and Letter Size:

  • Solid line thickness: 1.5pt (=6px at 300dpi)

  • Negative space line thickness: 2pt (=8px at 300dpi)

Font size (for legibility):

  • 12pt for a thinner (light-regular) font

  • 10pt for a thicker (bold) font

Additional NoteFor DTG printing the fulfiller accepts 3-4px as a minimum line weight
This is particularly important for small printing elements, such as Registered Trademarks. For example: ® & ™

Artwork Placement

Graphics should be provided on a “template” where the document size of the PNG correlates with the pallet the garment will go on (refer to sizes above).
The graphic itself should be placed within the “template” in relation to the preferred placement on the garment, where the top of the file will be anchored to the collar of the garment and centered.

Y Offset or “vertical placement” will be determined by the distance between the top of the file and the top of the graphic; the X Offset or “horizontal placement” will be determined by the distance between the left side of the file and the left side of the graphic.

Example provided below:

Suggested Left / Right Chest Placement

These offsets are calculated so that the center of the graphic is aligned with the point on the collar where the sleeve seam touches. I've attached a visual representation of how these offsets translate in case that's a bit easier to digest and share around. Let me know if you have any questions or need further details:

  • Unisex Standard Pallet Left and Right Chest (placements are based on a 4" x 4" graphic)

  • Standard Y Offset: 51mm (2")

  • - Y Offset formula for graphics shorter than 4"H: Ymm = ((102mm - Graphic Height mm) / 2) + 51mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmH: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 51mm = 82mm

  • Standard X Offset - Left Chest: 244mm (9.6")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 4"W: Xmm = ((102mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 244mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 244mm = 275mm

  • Standard X Offset - Right Chest: 51mm (2")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 4"W: Xmm = ((102mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 51mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 51mm = 82mm

  • Unisex Zipper Hoodie Pallet Left and Right Chest (placements are based on a 4" x 4" graphic)

  • Standard Y Offset: 51mm (2")

  • - Y Offset formula for graphics shorter than 4"H: Ymm = ((102mm - Graphic Height mm) / 2) + 51mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmH: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 51mm = 82mm

  • Standard X Offset - Left Chest: 248mm (9.7")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 4"W: Xmm = ((102mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 248mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 248mm = 279mm

  • Standard X Offset - Right Chest: 55mm (2")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 4"W: Xmm = ((102mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 55mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((102mm - 40mm) / 2) + 55mm = 86mm

  • Women's and Youth Children's (L) Pallet Left and Right Chest (placements are based on a 3" x 3" graphic)

  • Please note; graphics larger than 3" x 3" should be placed at their forward or backwards limits (i.e. a 4" graphic would be placed as far left or right as mathematically possible/ the pallet would allow)

  • Standard Y Offset: 51mm (2")

  • - Y Offset formula for graphics shorter than 3"H: Ymm = ((76mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 51mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmH: ((76mm - 40mm) / 2) + 51mm = 69mm

  • Standard X Offset - Left Chest: 184mm (7.2")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 3"W: Xmm = ((76mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2) + 184mm

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((76mm - 40mm) / 2) + 184mm = 202mm

  • Standard X Offset - Right Chest: 0mm (0")

  • - X Offset formula for graphics narrower than 3"W: Xmm = ((76mm - Graphic Width mm) / 2)

  • - E.G. graphic is 40mmW: ((76mm - 40mm) / 2) = 18mm
