Imports: Field Map

The Field Mapping Import provides a convenient way for Fulfillers to add Field Mapping to products found within the Platform.

The required import format is csv.

What is the Field Mapping Import used for?
The import is used by Fulfillers to add or to amend existing Field Mapping.  Field Mapping is used by some retailers within the platform and essentially acts as a method to receive one field name in an order that can be mapped to another piece of data found in that retailers system.

Create: Add new Field Mapping to Products in bulk.

Users can create new field mapping within the system as long as the following headers are used.
  1. Product ID (product.id)
  2. Field Mapping ID (field_map.id)
  3. Field Mapping Company Reference ID (field_map.company.ref.id)
  4. Field Mapping From Value (field_map.from)
  5. Field Mapping To Value (field_map.to)
To create new Field Mapping, the relevant Products should first be 'selected' or filtered in Product Manager prior to generating a Field Mapping Export.

The generated CSV file serves as a template, allowing the Product data to be added in a format that is then suitable for use with the Field Mapping Import to update the Products.
It is recommended that Imports are tested on a sample range prior to rollout across a high volume of Products.

Edit: Update existing Field Mapping across a range of Products.

To edit Field Mapping, the relevant Products should be 'selected' or filtered in Product Manager prior to generating a Field Mapping Export.

The generated CSV file serves as a template, allowing the Product data to be edited in a format that is then suitable for use with the Field Mapping Import to update the Products.
It is recommended that Imports are tested on a sample range prior to rollout across a high volume of Products.
